A must-see in Venice is this crazy wonderful bookshop owned by the peculiar and witty Luigi Frizzo. He gives you discounts if you allow him to feel you up!
In Campo San Margherita, lovely little square close to Campo San Polo, you will find plenty of little bars to enjoy an aperitif/breakfast. This is my favorite. The red bar.
In Calle Lunga de San Barnaba you will find the deliciously small slow-food osteria called La Bitta. No fish served. Just meat. A must-try. Reservation necessary.
Another beautiful setting to enjoy aperitif and tartine is at le Zattere beside the canal. Try the Osteria Al Squero.
My favorite museum space is by far the former residence of Peggy Guggenheim, the notorious patron of the arts.

A specialty of Venice are cicchetti, small appetizers to eat while sipping ombretta (wine). There are many bacari (pubs) to enjoy them. My favorite ones are Cantina Do Mori, Bacaro da Fiore, Osteria il Diavolo e l’Acquasanta, Ae Botti (Giudecca)
This osteria is owned by another crazy Venetian character named Mauro Lorenzon. Great food, amazing wines and an entertaining host!
